The monastery church of the Franciscans (“Klosterkirche der Franziskaner”) was built between 1235 and 1250 as a single-nave building made from granite ashlars with brick window jambs. The five-bay aisleless church is one of the oldest Franciscan churches in Germany that has largely been preserved in its original form. The monastery buildings were demolished in the 18th century.
