At Toruń’s second market square – the New Town Market Square – stands a particularly beautiful Gothic church, now known as the Sanctuary of St. James. The church is located along the famous Camino Polaco pilgrimage route and features remarkably rich architectural details for a medieval building. Viewed from the outside, the eye is drawn to the flying buttresses and decorative pinnacles, instantly evoking the Gothic era. The interior is also well worth exploring, offering another opportunity to admire medieval art in its purest form.
