In one of the corners of the Old Town Market Square stands another fine example of Brick Gothic architecture – St. Mary’s Church. Although more minimalist in appearance, it is impressive in its dimensions. The three small turrets on its gable, decorated with intricate tracery, beautifully reflect the spirit of the medieval era. The church’s interior is richly adorned with wall paintings and other outstanding examples of sacred art.
